This research programme addresses critical knowledge gaps in our understanding of the relationship between the recovery trajectories of built, social and economic environments and lack of tools to measure change.
Building Quake & People – a Serious Game Platform for Informing Life Saving Strategies
Project leader: Vicente Gonzalez (University of Auckland), in collaboration with Opus Research and University of Canterbury.
This project contributes to the mitigation of the impact of natural hazards by proposing the development of a computer-based modelling framework able to assess occupants’ behaviour in buildings in the event of an earthquake.
